Our guest artist at this meeting was Ernest Siva who taught us how to play the Native American Flute.

A silent auction was held at this event to raise money for the scholarship fund.
Two of our student members, Monika & Amanda had the honor of playing the sbcmea All County Honor band at the University of Redlands. They were 2nd & 3rd chair. They both study with Teacher member Jackie Aronowitz.
Silver Sounds performed at the Carnation Plaza stage in Disneyland CA. IEVFS Members involved were invited to participate here are those who did so: Student Members: Amanda, Elizabeth & Monika. General Members: Ahunna, Harriet, Heidi, John, Karen & Lauren. Business Member: Cynthia & her daughter. Conducted by Teacher member Jacke Aronowitz.
Teacher Member's Dee Ogden loaned us her Alto flute and Jenifer Aragon loaned us her Bass flute for this performance.
Members of Silver Sounds Flute Ensembles traveled together to see "Wicked" in Losa Angeles.
We sponsored a musical event in the lobby of the Loma Linda University Hospital. the 2nd hour was chamber music, we put together a last minute flute choir and sight read some Christmas carols.

Mary Karen Clardy was our special artist for a joint gathering sponsored by the Yamaha corporation.
In the evening she presented a wonderful concert where not only did she perform some wonderful solos, but brought friends "The October Trio."

At this meeting we learned about the causes and prevention of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
Our topic was "Maintaining your flute" Dawn was our guest artist, she's was a local repair person who also plays flute & oboe.
